Actually the brainchild of Club owner Jayne Jefferies, this project takes Burt Bacharach’s music and creates sumptuous, gently reimagined versions either sung or instrumental that are full of new character and invoke some intriguing jazz improvisations. Top UK vocalist Catherine Sykes sings her favourites and Alex’s long time collaborator and Paul Jefferies plays bass - the whole project is delicately underpinned by drummer Euan Palmer. Expect melodies from film and the worlds of pop - classics like Arthur’s Theme, Alfie, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Wives and Lovers and many more.

Greg must be one of the most travelled American musicians on the planet, a truly international star performer and, as you’d expect, a world-class saxophonist (alto, soprano and flute). Backed by a superb rhythm section featuring Paul Jefferies on bass, Alex Steele - piano and Gaz Hughes on drums, the result is full-powered, hard-swinging music at its very best. We loved him so much we’ve asked him to get back to Witney and sing his favourite Christmas material. Marvin is really grabbing the attention now of both local jazz fans and the national jazz press and has most recently been nominated for 'best Jazz singer' in the prestigious 2026 'All-parliamentary Jazz Awards'. It’s not surprising, he’s a man with a mission and the vocal and musical talents to support it. A gorgeous rich, smooth baritone, jazz sensibilities in abundance and unashamedly a lover of the great swing jazz era, Marvin’s show should not be missed. We promise it’ll be a memorable way to kick off the Christmas period. On board in the rhythm section will be Tom Berge (piano), bassist Paul Jefferies and award winning drummer Rob Brian.
