One half of the critically acclaimed ‘Bateman Brothers’, Alan is the one who plays trumpet and sings exquisitely and - a very fine painter to boot!. He will bring his specially selected quartet to JazzIn’ Thame for a show that will feature the music of the great Louis Armstrong - featuring brilliant hits like Hello Dolly, Mack The Knife and What a Wonderful World. Alan has played with Acker Bilk, the Kenny Ball Legacy band and many others. He’s a multi-instrumentalist (trumpet, sax, clarinet, piano) and an accomplished jazz vocalist and he’ll lead the band through 90 minutes of truly fun, entertaining music. Alan’s rhythm section will comprise the effervescent Maff Potts on piano, bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Nick Millward.
